These passages outline an evolution of concepts that try to give the field of son ta the complexity and discourse it deserves. But to me the most important part of my work and the most ineffable, is studio work. As eloquent as written text can be, to me it sits only on the threshold of what paint and substance is for the painter. I am not referring to the mere production of an image or the image as the object of analysis but the mind and human productivity as it pushes and pulls inert substances to become something.
Painting returns to full response to the Act of living in the world doing without mediatization of the rational mind. As a process, it is a way of empirically verify the philosophy on the body of a particular craft that resists the tragic alienation of the systems and the passage of time. Always timeless, is for me the most singular space of heterotopia.
